In 1980 a film written by David Zucker, Jerry Zucker and Jim Abrahams wrote and directed Airplane! (titled Flying High! in Australia and New Zealand), a film that takes the plot of the film Zero Hour!, and twists it to become a parody of the disaster film genre.
